Sal is the wonderful artist that worked on CAPTAIN GRAVITY AND THE POWER OF THE VRIL with me. A while back he did these images of Conan at 17 years old and since they’ve never seen the light of day I thought I’d share them with you.

Noted comics journalist and long time supporter of my Swamp Thing run, Bill Baker, has done a solid interview with me regarding the end of my personal saga with the big plant man.

Can You DIGG Shooting War!?

Posted on by Joshua Dysart Posted in Comic Books, Journal | Leave a comment

Shooting War has been all over the web, and it certainly deserves the attention, but its omni-presence is one of the reasons why I’ve been hesitant to pimp it here. In retrospect, that’s just plain stupid, because my dear, dear friend Dan Goldman illustrates this web comic and he (along with his writer) is creating a work of immense relevancy and formal inventiveness. If you’re one of the few cats who haven’t scoped it out yet, please do click here.

Now Shooting War has made it onto that cultural phenomena of a website known as DIGG. As of this writing it’s only two hits away from being front-page news! So if you’re a DIGG user and this politically charged web comic moves you, then, goddamn it, DIGG away, my children!!

Also, if one web comic isn’t enough, you can crack open KELLY. Dan’s wonderfully trippy, surprisingly spiritual exploration of roommate troubles in the Big Apple.

Thanks for supporting my Bro!

Dan Goldman… dreamer.
